The 93rd Annual Dude Ranchers’ Association Convention was held at the Tanque Verde Ranch in Tucson, AZ in January. This convention was a great success for not only the DRA but also the Dude Ranch Foundation. A few different fundraisers were able to take place at the convention and a wonderful time was had by all. Karen Ferguson gave a presentation to the membership about the Dude Ranch Foundation including the goals and future plans. All of the members of the DRA are great supporters of the Foundation, you can feel the love and passion in this industry.
The Pigeon Calcutta again was a big success and a ton of FUN! Raising a little over $2,700, the winners were a father-son team, Hunter and Luke Sullivan, of the CM Ranch. They were very generous in donating their winnings back to the Foundation!
As always, we tip our hats to the awesome group of vendors that continue to support the DRA and Dude Ranch Foundation. They put together enough money to establish the “Vendor Scholarship” again this year in the amount of $2,050!! When you get a chance, please thank them!
A big thank you to Judy McMullin AKA - Judy Jewelry for donating three beautiful saddles to the convention auction this year, all of the proceeds from these saddles went to the Foundation. $1,550 was the amount raised by these items! Thank you again Judy!!
